Soft, stretchy, and oh-so-comfy, Ohnut is a simple and convenient way to adjust when penetration feels too deep. Made of 4 interlocking rings, you can customize the depth without sacrificing sensation.  Explore adding and removing rings at any time with any position, so that both you and your partner can focus on what matters most each other.  Pelvic MD approved.

 Sizes:

• Classic: “Standard” or “regular” condoms; Lifestyles Snugger Fit, Slim Fit, or similar. Width stretches to 8in (20.3cm), and the unstretched height of 4 rings is 2¾in (7cm) tall
• Wider: Trojan Magnum, Durex XXL, or similar;or if a looser fit is preferred. The Wider Ohnut is 15% wider than the Classic Ohnut and stretches up to 50% more. Width stretches 12in, and the unstretched height of 4 rings is 2¾in (7cm) tall

 How it Works:    Ohnut is an intimate wearable that can help you manage and potentially reduce pain during sex by allowing you to easily customize how deep penetration goes.  Worn externally at the base of a penetrating partner (e.g., on their shaft or on a toy), Ohnut compresses down to act as a soft buffer during sex. Each set comes with 4 linking rings that allow you to make simple adjustments, so you and your partner can not only discover comfort but also what depths feel good—for both of you.  Ohnut is designed to feel just like skin. It is so comfortable (like a gentle hug) you and your partner will barely notice it’s there. BPA, phthalate, and latex free your Ohnut is made from FDA approved body-safe material. ‍

Some reasons why sex can be painful:

• Painful sex (or dyspareunia) can happen for a whole range of reasons, including:
• Endometriosis
• Adenomyosis
• Pelvic floor dysfunction
• Interstitial cystitis
• Fibroids
• Pelvic inflammation
• Pelvic floor muscle spasm (vaginismus)
• Menopause (genitourinary syndrome of menopause, or gsm)
• Cancer treatments (including chemotherapy and radiation therapy)

 What is OhNut made of:  Ohnut is currently made of an FDA approved body- and skin-safe polymer blend. It’s a thermo-set material that is BPA-, phthalate-, silicone-, and latex-free.

 Note about material: The original Ohnut was designed in silicone, which therefore made it incompatible with silicone lubrication. Silicone lubricants are generally recommended by the pelvic health / medical community for their long-lasting quality (having to reapply water-based lubrication during a connected moment can be very disruptive). However, silicone lubrication will degrade silicone products, therefore we decided to adjust Ohnut’s material to be easily integrated with medical recommendations. Regarding permeability, our manufacturing experts have informed us that, in general, most plastics are permeable, with the amount of permeability depending on what size molecule and under what pressure. Ohnut’s material is not permeable with the amount of pressure applied during a couple’s use. However, as a precautionary measure, we recommend that Ohnut is not shared between different partners. Our material is also not considered ‘hygroscopic’ (water absorbing).

How does it feel physically for the penetrating partner?   While Ohnut can be used by penetrating partners of any gender, feedback from those with penises includes not noticing the difference and feeling like full penetration, while also enjoying its additional use for foreplay. Some may feel a slight “hug” sensation. The majority report that sex is more satisfying because they are not as worried about causing their partner pain and their partner isn’t as worried about being in pain. This generally results in a feeling of confidence, of letting go with one another, of enjoyment.

All Ohnut’s are made with a soft material that stretches significantly for comfort.  Penetrating partner preference and size of origin may vary widely. So! If Ohnut feels too tight, store the rings wrapped around a water bottle that is 3” in diameter (also serves as a great drink koozie) for at least a couple of hours. This will temporarily stretch out the rings

Can I use Ohnut with a condom?  Yes! You’ll just need to put the condom on prior to putting on your Ohnut. Be sure to use additional lubrication before sliding Ohnut on.

 What kinds of lubricants can I use – Lubrication is essential to the Ohnut experience (do not attempt use without it!).  Since Ohnut is made from an FDA-approved family of polymers, it is compatible with both silicone based, and water based lubrication. Oil based lubes are not recommended, including coconut oil, as they can degrade the material and cause your rings to tear.  Coconut oil (or any oil-based lubricant) should not be used with Ohnut, as it can degrade the material and cause your rings to tear. We cannot replace damaged rings that have been used with oil-based lubricants. Water- and silicone-based lubricants are great, though!
